Based in San Jose, California, the Capital of Silicon Valley, the Solar Training Institute is a leading educational provider of solar training. We offer accelerated learning courses in solar PV design and installation that prepare workers for successful careers in the solar industry, at a reasonable price and when and where they need them. We also help solar companies achieve their growth plans by helping to educate a workforce with the latest training methods and a hands-on approach to learning.
We maintain a high quality of instruction and commitment to our students by working closely with industry trade organizations, solar companies, recruitment agencies and government agencies to better understand what the industry needs in terms of skilled workers. We offer a positive experience that will help retrain workers for their future and help the solar industry meet its goals of having enough skilled workers to keep up with its projected high growth.
We pride ourselves in hiring the best instructors possible, all of whom are true professionals in their respective field. Our curriculum is developed in conjunction with solar professionals and is audited for performance and content by some of the top solar companies in the world. And our training materials are used far after the end of the courses and are a valuable resource that our students retain in their careers. Many of our students – which in total now reach more than 400 - include contractors, electricians, skilled tradespeople, engineers, entrepreneurs and career changers.
With courses currently offered in San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Santa Ana and San Diego we will be expanding to other areas soon.
